Kairos Information Hub™

Simple, yet dynamic

Simple, yet dynamic, Kairos is an information hub containing over 200,000 regulatory records from across the United States and combining these data with environmental and financial risk evaluations of essential resource activities. Kairos is designed for surety underwriters, investors, bankers, academics, consultants, and legal advisors, among others.

Audit

On-Demand Reports

An Audit includes a review and evaluation of bonds and other underwriting commitments associated with regulated permitted activities of the extractive industries or landfills. Audits include site rankings based on levels of disturbance, reclamation progress, and regulatory compliance, as well as estimates of financial exposure on both individual site level and comprehensive account level. Audits also include geographic representations, Cluster Reports, and specific geospatial site evaluations, or Snapshots.

Advanced Analytics

Remote Sensing

For clients who need specifically tailored analyses at high resolution, the service provides a robust body of detailed metrics, observations, and evaluations. Clients can request specific monitoring or historical reconstructions of ground activities at global locations difficult to access or extensive in coverage.

The Future

SIAS Global is ever evolving

While SIAS currently focuses on extractive sites in the United States, we have worked in many countries around the globe. Our vision is to expand our full product array, increasing our information hub coverage of essential resource activities to serve the North American, Eurasian, African, and Australian resource management and investment communities.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL RESOURCE ACTIVITIES?

Essential resource activities cover an extensive range including mining and processing energy and minerals, managing waste and landfills, farming and logging, and managing water resources.

WHICH MINERAL COMMODITIES ARE IN THE KAIROS INFORMATION HUB?

There is a long list of mineral commodities in the Kairos Information Hub™. They are grouped under the four main categories of coal, energy (other energy minerals), mineral (metallic minerals and higher-unit-value industrial minerals), and quarry (lower-unit-value industrial minerals and rocks). Kairos and higher-level evaluations can be requested for any of these records.

DOES SIAS ONLY DO IMAGERY ANALYSIS ON COAL?

No! While SIAS is extremely well versed in the coal industry, SIAS can do in-depth reports, including with high-resolution imagery, on practically any type of energy or mineral extractive activity or specific site almost anywhere in the world using the team's wide range of expertise.

HOW OFTEN IS THE KAIROS INFORMATION HUB UPDATED?

The currency of SIAS data is dependent on the frequency with which each agency updates its data and the ease of the data collection from each agency. Some agencies update their records weekly, others monthly, some quarterly, and some only annually as required by State statutes.

CAN SIAS PROVIDE DATA AND IMAGERY ANALYSIS ON OTHER THINGS BESIDES MINERAL COMMODITIES?

Yes, SIAS also evaluates subdivision development monitoring, powerplants, landfills, and hazardous waste facilities, to name a few.
